Our Mission

At Grace Care, our mission is simple and unwavering: to ensure that every person we support feels valued, heard, and empowered to live with dignity and independence. We serve with integrity, compassion, and excellence, transforming everyday support into meaningful care for individuals, families, and communities across Greater Sydney. Every service we deliver, every support plan we design, and every interaction we have is guided by this mission, without exception and without compromise.

Why We Exist

Grace Care exists because every person, regardless of disability, age, or circumstance, deserves access to support that genuinely improves their life. Our founder John Sharon established Grace Care having witnessed firsthand what great care looks like and what happens when it falls short. That experience drove the creation of an organisation where quality is not a target to aim for but a standard that is lived daily by every member of our team. We exist to bridge the gap between what NDIS participants are entitled to and what they actually experience. We exist to give families confidence that their loved ones are in safe, capable, and genuinely caring hands. And we exist to build a Sydney disability support community where independence, dignity, and quality of life are accessible to everyone who needs support to achieve them.

The Values That Drive Everything We Do

Grace Care’s mission is held in place by four core values that shape every decision, service, and relationship within our organisation.

Our Commitment to Every Participant

Grace Care makes the following commitments to every person we support across Greater Sydney:

We will listen before we act.

Every support plan begins with a genuine conversation about your goals, your preferences, your circumstances, and your vision for your own life. We design support around you, not around what is convenient for us.

We will communicate openly.

Whether it's good news, a challenge, or a change in circumstances, we communicate honestly and promptly with participants, families, and support coordinators. No surprises, no avoidance.

We will show up consistently.

Reliable, punctual, and prepared support is not a bonus at Grace Care. It is the baseline. Every participant deserves a team they can count on, every single day.

We will hold ourselves accountable.

If something isn't right, we own it, address it, and fix it. Accountability is not a risk management tool at Grace Care. It is an expression of respect for the people we serve.

We will communicate openly.

Whether it's good news, a challenge, or a change in circumstances, we communicate honestly and promptly with participants, families, and support coordinators. No surprises, no avoidance.

We will always keep your goals at the centre.

Every support decision we make is filtered through one question: does this serve the participant's goals and improve their life? If the answer is yes, we proceed. If it isn't, we find a better way.

How We Live Our Mission Every Day

A mission statement only means something if it shows up in practice. At Grace Care, our mission is embedded in how we recruit our team, how we design support plans, how we communicate with families, and how we measure our own performance. We recruit for values as much as qualifications, because the right character paired with the right skills is what creates great support workers. We train continuously, keeping our team current with NDIS Practice Standards, disability-specific best practices, and the evolving needs of the participants we serve. We review regularly, checking in with participants and families to ensure the support we are delivering is achieving the outcomes it was designed for. And when we fall short, we acknowledge it honestly and make it right, because integrity is only meaningful when it is practised in difficult moments, not just easy ones.

Aligned with the NDIS's Vision for Participants

Grace Care’s mission is closely aligned with the NDIS’s own vision: to support people with disability to live ordinary lives, to pursue their goals, and to participate in the economic and social life of Australia on an equal basis with others. We are a registered NDIS provider operating in full compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and the NDIS Code of Conduct. Our services are designed to maximise the value of participant funding by delivering outcomes that genuinely move people toward greater independence, stronger community connection, and improved quality of life. Every support category we deliver, from Assistance with Daily Living and Household Tasks to Support Coordination, SIL, ILO, and Psychosocial Recovery Coaching, is implemented through the lens of our mission: empowering people to live the lives they choose with the support they need behind them.

Our Commitment to the Broader Sydney Community

Grace Care’s mission extends beyond individual participants to the broader disability community across Greater Sydney. We are committed to building a more inclusive, accessible, and supportive city for everyone living with disability. We invest in community partnerships with allied health providers, schools, community organisations, and housing services that strengthen the support ecosystem available to Sydney’s NDIS participants. We advocate for participant rights and work actively to reduce barriers to access, participation, and independence across the communities we serve. We are also committed to cultural inclusivity, delivering support that is respectful, sensitive, and appropriate across Greater Sydney’s diverse multicultural communities. Our team reflects the city we serve, and we are proud of the diversity that makes Grace Care stronger and more effective as a provider. Grace Care acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as Traditional Custodians of the land on which we operate and pays respect to Elders past and present. We are committed to safe, equitable, and inclusive services for every person, without exception.

Our Vision Looking Forward

Grace Care’s mission is not static. It grows with us, deepens as our team develops, and expands as our reach across Greater Sydney increases. Our vision for the future is one where every NDIS participant in Sydney has access to the quality, compassionate support they are entitled to, delivered by providers who genuinely care about outcomes and hold themselves to the highest standards of professional and ethical practice. We are working toward that vision every day, one participant, one support plan, and one life improved at a time.
